Important Voting Information

The August 11th election is just around the corner. Voters with disabilities and older adults who live in residential facilities may experience difficulties participating in Wisconsin elections, especially during this time of the pandemic. Do you, your staff, or clients have questions or concerns about voting? Here are some resources from the Wisconsin Disability Vote Coalition to help your staff and residents with voting.   • Voter registration deadlines for the August 11th election:

  • BY MAIL: Wednesday, July 22, 2020

  • ONLINE: Wednesday, July 22, 2020. (Register online at MyVote Wisconsin)

  • IN PERSON: Tuesday, August 11, 2020

  • The Wisconsin Election Commission has issued new guidance regarding absentee voting at care facilities in 2020. These documents provide care facility staff with guidance on how to assist residents to register to vote, to request an absentee ballot, and to complete and submit an absentee ballot.

  • o Because of concern about COVID 19, the Disability Vote Coalition encourages voters with disabilities to vote absentee in the August and November 2020 election. To learn more, check out our new absentee voting fact sheet.
